Look forward to supporting India's G20 presidency': Sundar Pichai meets PM Modi

Apart from PM Modi, Pichai also met Union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw earlier in the day at Google for India 2022 event, where he spoke on artificial intelligence and Google"s vision for the future.

New Delhi, December 20: In a major development, Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai on Monday (19 December) met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that it's inspiring to see the rapid pace of technological change under his (PM Modi) leadership.
 
He also said he was looking forward to supporting India's G20 presidency to "advance an open, connected internet that works for all".

Sharing the pictures of their meeting on social media, Pichai tweeted "Thank you for a great meeting today PM @narendramodi. Inspiring to see the rapid pace of technological change under your leadership. Look forward to continuing our strong partnership and supporting India's G20 presidency to advance an open, connected internet that works for all."
 
 
 
In response to the tweet, Modi wrote, “Was a delight to meet you @sundarpichai and discuss innovation, technology and more. It is important the world continues to work together to leverage tech for human prosperity and sustainable development.” 
 
Apart from PM Modi, Pichai also met Union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw earlier in the day at Google for India 2022 event, where he spoke on artificial intelligence and Google's vision for the future. He informed that Google is working on making text and voice internet searches available in over 100 Indian languages.
 
 
 
“We are increasingly using AI to scale up the number of languages. We recently added nine new Indian languages like Assamese, Bhojpuri, Konkani etc. We are working on one powerful AI model where we can bring information through thousands of languages”.
