New Delhi, Apr 01: To help the Ukrainian people who have been displaced from their homes due to the ongoing war situation, a 15-year-old Tejas Shankar has built an app for Ukrainian refugees in neighboring countries to get help from locals offering to assist them.
Notably, Tejas is the son of Sequoia India MD GV Ravi Shankar. As per the reports, Tejas has developed the app-"Refuge" in just two weeks. The app is available on the Google play store. Tejas gave the information about the app via a social media platform.
The app also translates into over 12 languages. With the help of this app, a person can get help in just two clicks. The app includes a map to find the closest help locations, verification features based on national IDs across the world, and listings offering necessities like food.
As per the Data of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, since the war has started, over 20 million people have fled from Ukraine. From that, as many as 4 million people have fled to take refuge in neighboring countries like Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Moldova.
