Servotech Power, EMCOR Power to set up 1,000 EV charging stations in India

Servotech Power Systems and EMCOR Power Solutions have agreed to build 1,000 electric vehicle charging stations across India.
 
According to Servotech Power Systems, EMCOR Power Solutions is a subsidiary of Kuwait-based EMCOR International, which is involved in the oil and gas industry.

"Under the terms of the agreement, EMCOR Power Solutions will provide 1,000 charging power operators (CPO) sites in India." The agreement states that "these sites will serve as the foundation for the installation of EV chargers."
To meet the variable power needs, Servotech Power Systems will produce and install 30kW to 60kW and greater capacity DC rapid EV chargers. The project will be carried out in stages.
 
Initially, 100 DC fast EV chargers will be deployed in various sites around South India before being expanded to other areas of the nation.
 
The MoU, according to Raman Bhatia, MD of Servotech Power Systems, intends to speed countrywide adoption of electric cars by establishing a technologically sophisticated EV charging infrastructure.
