Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao offers to help Tesla CEO Elon Musk to set up shop in India

KTR"s response comes a day after the billionaire said that Tesla Inc is "still working through a lot of challenges with the government" in India to launch its electric cars.

Hyderabad, Jan 15: Telangana minister KT Rama Rao invited Tesla CEO Elon Musk to set up shop in his state. Taking to his official Twitter handle, Telangana’s Industry and Commerce Minister KT Rama Rao expressed his happiness in partnering with Tesla to work on the challenges faced by the company in India.

KTR's response comes a day after the billionaire said that Tesla Inc is "still working through a lot of challenges with the government" in India to launch its electric cars.
 
 
KTR said, "Hey Elon, I am the Industry & Commerce Minister of Telangana state in India. I will be happy to partner with Tesla in working through the challenges to set shop in India/Telangana. Our state is a champion in sustainability initiatives & a top-notch business destination in India."
 
KTR is the son of Telangana Chief Minister KC Rao. He manages industry and commerce portfolios and is also an IT & UD Minister. Telangana already has an electric vehicle policy, a 200 acre EV park SEZ and recently USA EV major 'Triton' announced an investment of Rs 2,100 crore in the state.
 
In the past, the Telangana government laid out a red carpet for garment maker KITEX to set up its unit in the state.
