What is Hypersonic Vehicle?

A hypersonic vehicle can be an aeroplane, missile, or spacecraft that has the ability to travel five times faster than the speed of sound, or greater than Mach 5. It is regarded as cutting-edge technology, and countries like China, India, Russia, and the United States have been trying to further enhance the ability of their hypersonic weapons.

It should be noted that this test comes at a time when India is developing the Hydersonic Missile with the help of Russia and these trials will surely boost the program. As per reports, the Indian indigenous missile will have the ability to fire nuclear weapons along with conventional weapons.

Russia used a hypersonic missile for the first time in the ongoing conflict with Ukraine.
