MHA asks ISRO to build a satellite to monitor real-time information along borders with Pakistan, China

As per the media reports, the satellite will assist soldiers in protecting these borders by providing real-time information to their command.

New Delhi, Feb 17: To monitor real-time information along borders with Pakistan, China, the Ministry of Home Affairs has asked the Indian Space & Research Organisation (Isro) to develop a satellite that will help in strengthening border security.

This come up during the MHA's high-level meeting which was held a day after the ISRO successfully launched the Earth Observation Satellite-04 atop its PSLV.
 
The meeting was led by the Joint Secretary Border Management division and it was attended by the chief of the Intelligence Bureau along with officials from the paramilitary forces.
 
 
 
As per the media reports, the satellite will assist soldiers in protecting these borders by providing real-time information to their command. Moreover, with growing activity on the border between India and China in recent years, improved monitoring will aid the government in devising stronger tactics in the future to tackle any unanticipated circumstances.
